Questions
Is my script uploaded anywhere?
No. The teleprompter runs in your browser. Your script is saved only in this browser (local storage) so it is still here next time.
How is the scroll speed worked out?
You choose words per minute. The page measures your script as it is laid out with your font size, line height and width, then scrolls so that many words pass the reading line each minute.
Which keys control it?
Space starts or pauses, Up and Down change the speed, Left and Right jump 5 seconds back or ahead, Esc leaves full screen or stops.
What is mirror mode for?
If you read from a mirror or beam-splitter glass in front of the lens, flip the text horizontally so it reads correctly in the reflection. Vertical mirror flips it upside down.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Use the full screen button and put the phone in landscape. If full screen is not available in your browser, the teleprompter fills the page instead.
