Questions
How do guests use the code?
They open the camera on their phone and point it at the code. Most current iPhone and Android phones then offer to join the network.
Is my WiFi password sent anywhere?
No. The code is built in your browser and the password never leaves your device.
Which security type should I choose?
WPA/WPA2/WPA3 is right for almost every modern router. Pick WEP only for very old equipment and None for an open network.
When do I tick Hidden network?
Tick it if your network does not broadcast its name, so the phone knows to look for it.
Who can see the password?
Anyone who scans the code can join, and the password is stored inside it. Display the card only where guests are welcome.
